Question: Can the trap be fixed if the base is broken at the trigger?
Answer: No, unfortunately not. If the plastic is broken at the base, and it is NOT the trigger that is defect (make sure it is not just the trigger because that part can be replaced), then the trap is no longer fit for operations.
It is seldom that the base breaks, but when it happens it is either at the trigger or underneath the spring (the red bars in the pictures below show where it might be experienced)
If you experience a failure like described and the trap has not been manhandled, then you should check the warranty on the trap.
If the trap is within warranty, please submit a service ticket with pictures of the failure/issue added to the ticket and TrapMe technical support will investigate the issue and quickly come back to you.
