Question: How do I ensure the trap is functioning at its best?
Answer: After weeks of use the trap will often become dirty. It might be located in an environment where leaves and dirt gets stuck to the trap, or the use of bait might create a sticky surface and after a while you could experience that the trigger plate gets stuck to the buttom or it needs a stronger pressure to push the triggerplate down, or the spring and the trigger itself becomes blocked by sand and dirt.
If that is the case, we strongly recommend that you wash the trap.
The trap is IP67 approved and can stand a good washing, you can even put it in an industrial washing machine. But standard maintenance is that you use water and a brush to clean and remove dirt.
